microStation: MIDI/song editing

Hi,

I just bought a microStation and try to understand the sequencer. I downloaded a MIDI file, copied it to an SD card and loaded it into the microStation's sequencer. It plays fine but with awful sounds/instruments. So I edit the tracks and adjust better sounds to each track. It plays as I intended to.

But how can I save this work? I try to save the current song of the sequencer. But then it always saves to a new file. When I change multiple tracks, and stop and change tracks and instruments, suddenly my other edited tracks are reverted to the original. How can I change the sound sfor each track and then just save the current song that I already saved before?

Hi, just recently picked up this synth and from the looks of it, you need to create and load a Song Template first, which is your choice of instruments for the 16 tracks. After you load that, then you select the song to play afterward. Seems really inconvenient to have a two-step loading process for playing each song. Haven't gotten around to experimenting with this yet since I still need to get a memory card for saving/loading songs, but it's on page 42 in the digital PDF manual.

I don't want to load a template with fixed instruments. I want to assign each track to a separate instrument. And at the end, when I'm satisfied with my assignemtn, I want to save this sequenzer content as a song (or a MIDI files with the assigned songs, if this is possible).
