And it shows how far they are stuck in the 3 part/phase Atom of the past.

"Italian physicist and inventor Andrea Rossi has conducted a public demonstration of his "cold fusion" machine, the E-Cat, at the University of Bologna, showing that a small amount of input energy drives an unexplained reaction between atoms of hydrogen and nickel that leads to a large outpouring of energy, more than 10 times what was put in."

"The first successful cold fusion experiment was reported two decades ago, but the process has forever been met with heavy skepticism. It's a seemingly impossible process in which two types of atoms, typically a light element and a heavier metal, seem to fuse together, releasing pure heat that can be converted into electricity. The process is an attractive energy solution for two reasons: Unlike in nuclear fission, the reaction doesn't give off dangerous radiation. Unlike the fusion processes that take place in the sun, cold fusion doesn't require extremely high temperatures."

"But the experimentalists who have supposedly demonstrated cold fusion over the years have been unable to explain the underlying mechanism that drives the miraculous reaction they claim to observe, and so the scientific community has largely turned its back on this line of research. Most physicists — as well as the United States Department of Energy (DoE), academic journals, and the U.S. Patent Office — consider cold fusion machines to be hoaxes, because they say physics rules out the possibility of room-temperature nuclear fusion."

Well....I guess if the experts say it can't work Andrea Rossi and his colleges must be imagining things. I am imaging a new VAX77 sitting next to my M50 myself. If these experts would take the UFT for a ride they would see their concept of the atom is so outdated it makes them a danger to society. Read what the "business end" of atomic energy says about not running out of plutonium with no reasonable solution to store such vast quantities of radioactive waist. Money come first in the eyes of a fool and time comes later....but it always makes it right on time to deliver the reaction to an action even if was a stupid mistake. Or a politically money driven deliberate action. The success of this research is a nightmare come true to many, many people invested in oil and gas.

"It's getting better all the time" unless you try to stop it and my concern is a level of ignorance and non-caring that will try to stop anything that threatens oil dominance....but being at peak oil production now means anyway you look at it oil is a dead technology in 50/75 years or less anyway so no reason to have more wars over it. The rich in a free-4-all for power and greed at the top better wake up and wake up fast. You can't stop time...you make it better or you make it worse and even if you make it worse....it still gets better. Being human may not be all its cut out to be.

Navy and the Pentagon decline to comment ...

“[The E-Cat experiment] should be treated as a hoax until independent scientists are able to replicate these results,” Koomey (an energy consultant who has advised the EPA) explained that cold fusion defies the laws of thermodynamics. Energy requires an initial, consumable power source that erodes and breaks down -- it simply isn't self-sustaining."

This is where the UFT steps in and says Koomey and physics is wrong because the Weak Force IS self-sustaining, no pun intended but it's there.

"But Sterling Allan, CEO of the alternative energy news agency Pure Energy Systems, told FoxNews.com he attended Rossi’s demonstration and the E-Cat is self sustaining.

“What Rossi demonstrated was 470 kilowatts of continuous output in self-sustain mode -- meaning the output was enough to keep the thing running on its own,” he told FoxNews.com.

Allan hinted on his blog that an unnamed “customer” of Rossi's device is a military organization that starts with an N. Rossi said this customer measured and verified the test -- and told FoxNews.com that Paul Swanson with the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems unit (SPAWAR) can vouch for the demonstration.

FoxNews.com spoke with a man at SPAWAR who identified himself as Swanson, and who said only that he was "not in a position to talk to the press." Several other sources within the Navy and the Pentagon either declined to comment or did not return messages."

LOL...this is getting good. E=m+{a)c2 = CERN's v-c/c=2.48e5 = SLAC's E158 2.48e-5 + lesser diesis .20e-5.
