iKaossilator mixing behaviour issue

Hello All,

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, or has even spent a lot of time with this app, but I figured it was worth a shot.

I've been using this app extensively since it was released, so I'd like to think I know my way around it. However, as of today, the performance behaviour for mixing has changed drastically, and I can't find any way to change it back.

Previously, I was able to switch between patterns being played in the loop list with ease, and they would transition nearly immediately, with no visual cue, on the next downbeat. In the same manner I could easily mix loops between patterns. Loved it.

Now, however, when I attempt to transition between patterns OR loops I'm forced to wait for the pattern that is playing to play through to the end of its longest contained sub-loop. In addition, the pattern number indicator now flashes in tempo until the loop is triggered, where it previously didn't. This has effectively killed my ability to use it live.

The only thing that is different between now and then is that I now have over 150 patterns in my loop list. There doesn't seem to be any settings that affect transitions in this manner, and I haven't altered anything in the operating environment at all (iPad 1, OS5). A hard reset didn't help, and deleting a few patterns didn't change the behaviour, either. I'm at a loss.

Any ideas?

Hey anyone know what's up with this? I'm having the exact same issue but in the opposite way.. I like when it transistions at the end of the loops, but now it's just doing it randomly when I hit the button... Sigh.

This sounds like you've changed the loop quantize settings, which govern the transitions when using the loop list.

So simple! Yep it was loop quantize. Completely ignored that function until now. Must have been trying to change the loop length, and accidentally went to quantize instead. Drinking may have been involved.. Anyway just changed it from 24/16 back to 64/16 where I'm used to it. Best part is, now I know about a function that will be gettin alot more use now. Thanks so much!
