Have you tried to "learn" using the DNC saxes. A cut above the Yam IMHO. The Korg DNC gives you complete control over the dynamics whereas the Yamaha does not. Also you do need to "play" it like a saxophonist and so activate the DNC appropriately.

It depends on what genre you are applying sax to, but I find that the raw sax sounds (multi-samples) are far superior to Yamaha BUT the yamaha saxes sound nice out of the box mainly due to the amount of DSP they apply. Try adding some effects to the Korg saxes - I have some superb results from this but as I say it depends on what "type" of sax sound you want and the genre etc...

All the best

Amer123, I agree with you, Yamaha saxes and Ketron saxes sounds better than Korg saxes, not because of FX, but because the samples are too shorts in PA series. In Yam and Ketron, saxes are all sampled with vibrato, and it gives life to the sound. In PA series, only a few saxes sample are long enough.
To make a good DNC sax, you need differents sounds sampled at differents velocities, with different attacks, but all made in the same recording session, same player and same sax, giving a unity to the sound when played in DNC mode. It has not been done in PA series.

I usually use a sax from Ketron, sampled and imported in my PA. Using it, I made a sound using this and three PA multisamples (I added vibrato). It's just a little better than factory sounds, but no miracle...
