Radias patch memory and protection on/off

Hello,

I just sold my RADIAS-R, and am expecting a new RADIAS SYNTH in the next few days, so 'I'm without a manual'. (i.e., some of my terminology may be incorrect.

I have a basic question. When you turn memory-protect off, and start modifying/deleting etc., factory patches, are they gone forever? Let's say for discussion sake, you turn memory protect off, then delete every patch, and/or change them. Is it possible to 'restore' those factory patches without using software? Does the Radias have a hardware-restore function?

I realize you can back-up all the factory patches using software, and rely on that, but the manual doesn't (or didn't) seem to say anything about restoring factory sounds/patches from hardware?

Thanks for your time in answering my question!!!:)

Yes.

You can restore any single patch or the entire synth.

I think it's either in one of the Global or the Utility edit pages.

Wow! That was fast.

I think he means a Radias-KB

Although a Radias successor at NAMM would be nice.

Yes it would. We've certainly discussed it on the forums... two days until we actually see what NAMM brings.
