Latest OS for TRITON RACK?

Post by Joec »

Can someone tell me what the latest OS Version for the Triron Rack is and where I can download it?
I checked the Korg website but don't see any OS info on their site.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Joe

Korg corp site (US) does have an OS update: version 1.5.1 - but not if you search using the string triton rack OS or operating system.

http://www.korg.com/SearchResults.aspx?sp=triton%20rack

Link gets you to Triton Rack support page, go to downloads tab and scroll down to find "Rack Systems Upgrade", note that you get a no results message if you look for rack OS in the search function.

Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for the help.
Is there a Read Me file that will explain the update procedure?
Thanks again...

Bill,
I went to the Korg link you posted, clicked on downloads and although if shows (24), only 3 downloads are coming up.
Am I going to the wrong place?
Thanks again for the help.

Is it the same OS file that is used by the TRITON LE?
Thanks

Found it!!! The problem was I was trying to view the download files on an iPhone and it would let me scroll down past the first four files.
Thanks again for all the help.

?: same OS as Triton LE.

No - If I was going to try anything else it would be the OS for the Triton Studio which is the same guts as the rack, at least superficially - same prog/bank structure and upgrade paths <I>, but there might be some subtle differences due to things like no T/S on rack, so stick to ver:1.5.1

The downloaded OS file may prompt you to copy onto discs (3?) for installation, in which case you just put disc 1 in the floppy drive, and change 'em as the screen prompts you - make sure you number them correctly.

Latest os for triton rack

Post by 49erkid »

I think the latest os version is actually 1.5.2 download the file, unzip to a blank floppy disk in the root directory, insert into rack floppy drive and power on triton rack while holding 0 and write button, this will update your rack os. Good luck.

Do not hold down the 0 button.

Hold Down Write + Enter buttons while booting your Korg Triton Rack to get it to boot from the new system diskette.

Hi,
is it possible to run the update from a USB stick plugged into my Floppy Emulator?
I'm asking because you need 3 floppy disks for the update, I have the files on 3 "emulated" floppy disks on the USB stick, so is it possible to change the USB directory while updateting?
Thanks,
Florian

Try here:

http://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/1/220/

Give the page a full minute, or so, to load (Dynamic page creation can be a pain in the proverbial!).
