hello everyone,

lets say i use a preset sound....i manipulate to my liking..i save to my SD card.. when I want to load it back to the m50, where do I insert sound? in what sound slot should i send it to?

a while back i tried something similar i think and someting got erased from the original preset i think. does the m50 select an open slot from the user slots and inserts there? any help will be appreciated

I think you can load a PCG file (containing combis, programs and global) as a whole or load it on a specific location (original one?)

You also can use PCG Tools to manage a PCG file and load it in the M50.

You can choose 'open' instead of 'load' to navigate within a PCG file and choose exactly what you want to load - down to individual programs.

A PCG file itself stands for Program, Combination, and Global - it could contain the entire settings of a keyboard! so it's a bad idea to load an entire PCG without looking inside first as it could change your global settings and overwrite other programs and combis.

You should also be able to audition individual program sounds within a PCG file, I think.

Yes you can audition programs, however you cannot audition combis, because the programs used by the combis are (probably) not loaded on those referenced locations.

There are blank slots at the end of your programs that you will load them to unless you choose to overwrite existing programs which you can also do .
I have my karma software loaded right now and the banks are different perha[ps in this pcg so I am not sure but after the last program in either bank D or E there are initialized programs for you to insert your own program sounds.
I think this is perhaps what you were asking about, anyway I hope it helps. :)
