I haven't found anything in the manual that tells how to turn the volume down. I'm using a rim part in my pattern instead f the metronome, but haven't figured out if I can do a count in via this route.

Agreed. The metronome is set way too loud. To my knowledge, I don't believe there is a way to change it either. :?

Yeah, especially when working with quiet/un-normalized samples, with the volume up. Watch your monitors/eardrums!

I tend to stick a hi hat or kick at 4/4 and work with that if i need a 'tick'.

Did somebody say Normalize?

Thanks, the thought hadn't crossed my mind. Now that I've messed around with normalizing and re-sampling, my drums sound way better and louder, (less hiss) then the preset samples. And they're just loud enough for the metronome to not be so annoying.

Thanks all.

There may be other ways around it- What are you using the metronome for? I never seem to use it at all.
