has anyone got microKEY to work in windows xp?

microkey is supposed to be compatible with windows xp sp3. unfortunately there is only a 32 bit version of sp3. 64 bit version only goes to sp2. which is what i have.

anyway, i was wondering if anyone with xp sp3 has ever been able to get the microkey to work. i am not going to spend 2 weeks reinstalling hundreds of applications in a freshly installed OS so i can use microkey, only to find out that microkey doesnt work with sp3 either.

here is what is happening with microkey in windows xp (for me):

korg kontrol editor does not recognize microkey as connected.
microKEY is only recognized by some audio apps. it is recognized by kontakt. it is not recognized by ableton live, reason 4, and some others.

i noticed that when initially plugging in the microkey, the windows xp new hardware wizard calls the microkey "usb audio device." i doubt this means anything, but i thought i should mention it.

i have used this same microkey unit in windows 7 64 bit without issue.

it would be great if someone could reply to this thread very soon, as i am about to send this thing back tomorrow afternoon, and id rather not, as i dont want to foot the bill for return shipping. but if i cant use it, obviously it is no good to me.

thanks

**update: microKEY works fine until i install the korg usb-midi driver. so i guess i can only use the microKEY in 1 program at a time? unless i can find an older driver version that works

**also: if you know where i can get older versions of the korg usb midi drivers, please let me know!~ thanks
