I bought a cheap Live Wire pedal (guitar center brand one). works perfectly, calibrated perfectly. SOUNDS JUST LIKE A NORMAL PIANO NOW. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

The Sv-1.... this was THE only thing ever wrong with my keyboard. I dunno what everyone else is complaining about....everything seems fine with mine.

I don't play my keyboard much because of this issue...!! Way too little sustain.....................




Has there been any updates on the Sv-1? SUCH a shame...this is such a beautiful and neat keyboard...

Anyone use any other type of sustain pedal?

I've tried calibrating and everything. Have the SV-1 on the updated firmware.

A half damper pedal is just like a normal one, but the amount of sustain you get, is relative to how far you press the pedal. Pressing it all the way down will create a full sustain, whereas pressing it halfway down will have les of an effect. This is similar to the effect you get on a real piano.

i'm really hoping my pedal is defective. for one, I didn't get one with the keyboard when I bought it on Ebay. The seller said he couldn't find it............................... so he actually ordered a new one for me on Amazon. Korg, the right model and everything........

this was a year ago....... does this seem a little suspicious now that I think about it?

wasn't sent with the original pedal because if I had received it all at once, then I may have suspected that something was wrong with the keyboard itself???

gah, it's 5AM....maybe i'm overthinking things.

I know what a sustain should sound like......like any other piano and keyboard I've tried. The setup I have just isn't long enough of a sustain...makes playing sound a lot more choppy and not as fluid.

You might try recalibrating the pedal. Instructions are in the manual, pretty easy. I have a volume pedal, leslie on/off switch pedal and sustain pedal on mine and after calibration they all act the way they are supposed to.

If you look through these boards, this isn't the first time I've asked and griped about this issue. dont' be surprised if i create a new thread with JOYOUS title. Might bring back some interest in this WONDERFUL INSTRUMENT. the only thing ever wrong was my sustain pedal...........everything else I love and works perfectly
