Wavestation outputs 3 & 4 & Sonar

When I am using the Wavestation SW synthesizer in a host (e.g. Sonar, in my case), how are Wavestation outputs 3 & 4 routed witihin Sonar?

The Wavestation manual says outputs 3 & 4 are not available when the SW synthesizer is used standalone, but are available when used within a VST host.
