1stly - Hello all,

Im pretty new to the idea of making music - i am however, loving it! As i stumble around the IMS-20 ( i like to learn from trial & error - and perhaps a bit of youtube!) im beginning to piece things together very slowly.

I have googled searched but cannot find an answer to my problem. Any help/guidance/encouragement would be greatly received.

Im trying to copy synth patterns - ive notice that the standard way of doing this is using the "Utility" button on the top right of the screen. My "Utility" button appears to be unlit & slightly greyed out as if its not possible to use it. I know im probably making a school boy error here - but could someone please help with this? Its inhibiting my creative flow ;)

theres a few things on youtube (type in korg ims 20 tutorial).

if these dont answer your questions, let me know exactly what you're trying to do.

In the meantime, just have a good muck about with it :)

iv'e been mucking about with it for a couple of weeks now and iv'e watched all those tutorials on you tube, mostly its just guys fiddling about and iv'e read the manual and even wrote to Korg for a manual in plain English, but no luck.......i'm stuck on the procedure of patterns , and how to make lots of them and stick them in that pattern bank, with a view to going on to make a song out of them..........i have loads of tracks on acidplanet.com under the profile / artist name of BLOO if you'd like to listen to some........in the meantime , thanks for your help..........wAL
