Hi there!

Does anybody know if it is possible to control the start/stop/ff/rew features of an external sequencer program like Reaper or Cubase via OASYS control surface? Recording MIDI events is not the problem in general. I did try to control the software itself via the OASYS but had no luck, so I thought it might be just some kind of setup problem...

Software programs(or any externally synced hardware device) require the use of MMC messages to be sent to them in order to control there transport functions from an external device.

You'll have to dig into your software menus for the respective setting to allow external control of the transport buttons,Oasys should be able to send start/stop info via Midi but not sure if the REW/FF/REC will work.

Thanks. Reaper should be able to receive MMC messages. I'll try to hook up some kind of midi monitoring software like midi-ox or so to have a look at the messages coming from the Oasys.
