Exporting styles. Is it possible?

Post by centauramp »

Found a page #103 in the manual talks about Import/Export styles, but the details don't really cover Exporting a style. I would like to export a style so I can load it into Calkwalk and display the staff mode to see an acutual chart of notes of the parts. Also when I try to record with 16 tracks channels 1-16 , all the tracks seem to include all 16 tracks coming from the PA1XPro combines into 1 track. Is there a way to separate the tracks to put each part on and individual track. Maybe using the backing record mode, not really changing anything and saving it as a midi file. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bob

You're not really exporting a style per se, it sounds like you've created a midi file of a song using a particular style. There's 2 types of midi's Type 0 and Type 1. Type 0 has everything on one track.

Two things, see if the Pa1X can create a Type 1 file or your DAW software should be able to split them out to individual tracks. Check your Cakewalk help.
