korg pa 50 burned out lcd lamp in display

anybody ever change the lcd lamp in a pa 50? what is the part number? where to get it? how difficult to change it?

Interesting question. I would say you need to contact "KORG support" for this. Even if you can get the part, replacing it does requires skills.

Hi i've had the same problem.... twice

, no backlight but display is readable...
It's not the ccfl lamp, but the inverter that powers the lamp.....
First time i fixed the inverter with new transistors , this fix did the job for about 3 years....
so last week again no backlight... i now replaced the korg inverter with a replacemnt inverter normaly used in laptop displays..... (lost my faith in de korg inverter)
Replacing the inverterboard is plug & play... you just need to open the keyboard and then remove the screws from the display to get acces tot the inverter ... pull off the 2 connectors from the old inverter and plug them in to the new replacement inverter ......

u done need any inverter or ccfl lamp, its very simple to change backlight with few chinese LED-s, and it will cost u less than one beer
and believe me, its much better light than ordinary ccfl..... i did it on one triton extreme, on pa50, 80 and few more keyboards......
