When I plug in headphones to the headphones jack, sound only comes in through the one. I thought it may have been because the adapter was mono, but when I tried a stereo adapter, it still does the same thing. Both inputs work, so that's not the problem (even though I'm pretty sure the two have no effect on one another). The headphone jack also comes in really quietly. I have to have the volume almost all the way up before I hear anything. Is there some setting I don't know about, or is it just broken? Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean with "both inputs work"?
And are you 100% positive the headphones (and the adapter) aren't broken?

The headphone jack on my R3 also had the same problem. The sound was just coming out of one speaker and I even checked with multiple headphones. I remember unscrewing everything and opening it up, then when I went to unscrew the audio jacks, it suddenly starting working again. My only guess was that there was a lose wire or something, but this was over a year ago and still works fine now.

By both inputs work, I mean that I connected my amp to each input and got sound, so there's no problem with that. And I've tried multiple pairs of headphones with each adapter and they all work fine with any other equipment, but not with the R3. I may try opening it up eventually if I can't get any other suggestions. I'm just no expert on the inner hardware and I don't want to screw it all up.

I also want to point out that when I tilt it from side to side, there's something moving inside. It sounds like a broken solder to me, but, as I said, I'm no expert. Could that have any effect?

You mean both outputs?
Could be a broken solder contact. I also found a paperclip in an old synth once, taking it out fixed its output issues. If you checked everything you can without opening it up, I'd drop it off for repair if it's still under warranty. If not, no harm opening it up to at least have a look. Just remember which screw goes where
