Stumped setting up nanoKONTROL2 CC mode with Sony Vegas

I'm trying to set up the nanoKONTROL2 with Sony Vegas 11.0 on my Vista 64 SP2 computer, running the latest firmware and the latest KORG USB-MIDI driver. Vegas sees it as MIDI input "nanoKONTROL2 1 SLIDER/KNOB" and MIDI output "nanoKONTROL2 1 CTRL." When I go to learn functions, Vegas says "8 controllable channels" but at the same time, the MIDI input select box is disabled with "none" and there is no communication. Has anyone run into this problem and found a solution?
UPDATE: Problem is only with the 64-bit version of Vegas. Everything works properly with the 32-bit version.
