How to copy Timbres between Combi's?

The "Copy from Program" function on the Combi menu is great when creating a combi from scratch.
But what about "merging" two combis into a new split? I want to copy 4 Timbres from Combi 1 and 4 other Timbres from Combi 2 into a new Combi 3.
I can't find the right menu, and the words "copy" and "timbre" are too common to be useful for searching the PDF Guides.
Where is this function?
Thanks!
(I expect it can be done using the Editor, but I'm asking about the Kronos touchscreen interface)

The lack of function - can only be manually.

I think you can copy the IFX though, which should help.

Alternatively, you can send the Combis to Seq mode and then you can mix both Songs to a new Song

OK - I admit I was waiting for OS version 1.6.1 before installing and trying the editor. Since it is a long time coming and I need to perform some serious Combi editing, I went ahead and installed 1.6.0 and the Editor.
I won't repeat the observations about the disappointment and sense of "missed opportunities" that is very evident from the Editor, but I do agree.
I'm specifically looking for how to copy 4 Timbres from one Combi to another. With 16 Timbres in a Combi, this has got to be a common need for sound designers. The Editors concept of the "Collection" seems to be the right place to put this, but no mention of Timbres is found there.
At least in the area of editing Combi's the Editor seems to be a simple re-creation of the Kronos UI with few, if any, enhancements.
Am I missing this? Is the ability to copy a Timbre between Combis completely absent from the Kronos and the Editor?

@MarPabl - Intriguing idea, but please explain more. I can import a Combi into a song from Seq Mode. But when I import the second Combi, it completely overwrites the Timbre's from the first. Even if there was a way to copy the Timbres selectively, I don't see any way to copy a Song back to a Combi.

There's no way to copy a Song back to a Combi

If you need to use a Combi, this is not the way to go.

I can't speak with certainty on the Editor, not having used it much, but the fact is you've never been able to copy a timbre (in a combi) on a Korg Product. I don't know why, I've also wanted to do this many times. It seems like it would be a good utility function to have. Even within a combi, you sometimes want to duplicate/copy a timbre to another and then modify it someway. This would be a good thing to have.
@michelkeijzers: couldn't your PCG tools do this?

Stephan, I checked in PCG Tools, and it currently doesn't have the ability to copy individual Timbres.
However, I'm deep in the Combi data structure code right now with my Triton to Kronos Combi converter. I will add this capability in my program. The code to copy a Timbre is just a few lines. Making a UI for managing the process is the majority of the work.
I'm thinking it will operate on a whole bank as a source. There will be a source combi selector to pick which Combi the Timbres come from. Below that, 16 checkboxes will select which source Timbres to copy. To the right of each checkbox, a 1-16 combo box that will specify which destination Timbre slot to copy that Timbre into. The Timbres are copied into a Combi Edit buffer (initialized with Init Combi). Once you have copied all the desired Timbres into the edit buffer, the edit buffer can be sent back to the Kronos, where it can be stored wherever.
Make sense?

Without knowing the structure of your program, it makes sense.

I've never done it and it sounds tedious but I would probably copy all of the combis that had the parts that I wanted to new locations first.
Then I would delete the parts that I don't plan on using in my new combi.
Now this is where I get a little fuzzy because I don't know if this will work but I would try to copy each whole combi to a new slot. Each combi going to this new slot but without and effects.
I don't know if the Kronos asks you where you want each combi to go but I would hope that it does. If so, then it's just a matter of now doing your splits and layers.

I have a prototype of the Timbre copy between Combo functionality working now:
This also includes the Triton Studio to Kronos Combi converter functionality.
If anyone would like to beta test this, please PM me with your email.

I will add it to the wish list of PCG Tools, however I see above that someone is already made it.
I have a good contact with him, so maybe we can make a 'merge' of the efforts.

Yeah, this thread is ancient. But I was wondering if this functionality was indeed ever added to PCG Tools, or if timg11's utility ever became available outside of a requested beta, or if some other way to accomplish this has been implemented since 2012.
