I have a image of 65x65 pixels. I tried creating it as jpg, gif, and png, and I always get the same error.
Just in case there was a fencepost error, I tried making it 64x64. Same error.

Every time I try to upload an Avatar file I get the error "The avatar filetype must be .jpg, .gif or .png"

Can you please use the "Upload Avatar from a URL" option?
