Heres a vid...

As always, willing to accept any actual reasons for this....

However, it is an ugly sound :)

Perhaps the way it was recorded, but I'm not hearing anything. Direct recording would provide a more useful example.

totally would but my brother had to take the ilok to thailand till the first :(

I could use another daw.... however im too lazy. I just suggest that someone else with a K61 (or others) could just hit the a# im hitting a little hard and see if they can hear it.

Hi,
same remark than Melodialworks Music, why not recording this kind of sound through a DAW to have the best sound you can produce in order for us to hear something ?
On that video I cannot either hear any problem due to the bad sound quality !

Cheers

okay i will record something as soon as i am able to.. I share a pro tools station in my house with my borhter, who is in thailand.. and took the ilok...

i will try to find some way to record it though. I dont see why you all couldnt test this on your own kronos though!

Just tried it on my K61 couldn't get any distortion on that A#, this is the render from Reaper for comparison, I noticed the right channel with the patch is about 5% higher so maybe you're just hitting an output limit on your monitors/mixer.

i donttt hink youre hitting it as hard as i was.... im talking like velocity110+

I'll check it, is there an easy way of seeing the velocity.. I was certainly mashing it as hard as I dare with out breaking the thing (and way harder than anything I have ever actually played) the render may seem lower as the rec level direct from the Kronos USB to Reaper was @ 60-70% as I didn't want to introduce distortion as an after effect from the recording level being too high.

Hi,
If you have a good pair of headphones, can you hear it with them? The distortion you're talking about could come from a thousand places(well maybe not a thousands..)
