Hi, yes I'm looking at the Full paged Colour Advert if the Keyboard Calvalcade Magazine right now. they give a webb site (
www.korg.co.uk/pa3x ) as the site to visit, Iv've tried, it does not appear anywhere, the magazine is the Sept Edition which is sent out about a week to 10 days early, so it looks like they may have jumped the gun accidently. How ever Korg must have inserted this add so all the goodies mentioned about the new OS system are now in the open, plus the new Soundware Pack with it's 350 extra styles etc sounds really good value for just £9.99. car'nt wait to try. musicmanbob.

NEW OPERATING SYSTEM VERSION 1.5 is now available.
Can't seem to find this anywhere - think it best to wait for official Korg release anyway - I definitely wouldn't trust any other source but as you say this is an an early release of the magazine..
Soundware "Soundpack" sounds interesting but I would want to hear some samples first. There are a lot of style packs out there but they end up being a rip-off or just someone's collection that they are trying to make money from.
I am NOT being negative - just wary - but interested too.
Cheers
Pete

HI Pete in OZ, REFERENCE THE NEW SOUNDWARE AND STYES PACK FOR£9.99 i THINK IS BEING OFFERED BY kORG THEMSELVES, IT WON'T BE A RIP OFF, AT LEAST i HOPE NOT, SOME OF THE STYLES FROM kORG HAVE BEEN BRILLANT, OTHERS A LOT TO TO B DESIRED, to get what I wanted I have had to convert Tyros3 & 4 Styles to suit my PAX3 with some what mixed results, so I do await this new pack with some interest. Regards. musicmanbob.

Yeah but so far the "mail" from Korg UK (Sandra here name was) says it is ONLY available for UK residents!!!
Here is some transcripts of the email messages :
My first query was general in asking if it was available, to which she replied:
Many thanks for your email.
Please Note: We can only supply goods to addresses in the United Kingdom. If you are not in this region may want to contact the official dealer/distributor for your country directly. Their contact information can be found online
I responded by pointing out it was SOFTWARE, not hardware so it may not be covered by the same exclusions -(although Korg USA dealers seem to have NO issues in selling overseas!!!)
My reply back (still awaiting an answer) was :
this is a software product created by Korg UK and that it was not covered by the usual distributor local sales rules. I mean it will only end up getting distributed for free (I believe Korg UK are including it free with the sale of a new PA3, but for sale at 9 pounds for existing owners) so if you guys make it hard for anyone to buy, we will only then start getting for free from people who get it in the UK..
As I said can you PLEASE check with your management as again, it is NOT hardware, will it be available worldwide..
So we will see what happens....

Yeah, it's crazy if you ask me. This will do nothing but cause piracy of a product that people would be only too happy to buy if they could.
Whatever it costs you James, I will reimburse you for it.
Nope, it's a gift.
I just filled in the contact forum over at KORG UK and asked for information on purchasing 3 copies.
Regards
James.

I won't take delivery of my Pa3X until November (it's on backorder here), but I'll be buzzing friends in the UK for my copy of the soundpack. For a tenner, it's a steal of a deal.

I agree, I would also pay for the Soundware pack as well as the Musikant styles. .. I don't know why Korg makes it so difficult for us to obtain simple things that can make us happy so that we can enrichen our lives and really enjoy OS 1.5, which is, by the way, a great improvement.

Here apparently is the final word from Korg U.K. - got this email a little while back... the guy could not even get my name right!!
Dear Joe
Sandra has passed you email to me for consideration.
The UK Soundware has been produced for the UK customers specifically, the data consists of a new style and a number of songbook entries using existing styles. Because many of our customers are elderly they are find it difficult to navigate the PA3x so our data helps them use the product. As very few of our customers do not use the internet, the likely hood of the data being shared is low.
Our decision to only make this available to UK customers is final and I’m afraid we are unable to discuss this any further.
Regards
Ian Bradshaw
So there you have it...ONLY available in the U.K.
Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face hey!!
