is korg R4 due any time soon?

just curious, it's been a few years since R3 release.

OK, just bought R3 as a supplement to my motif XS for gigs and as a to go keyboard. I hope R4 won't be release next week :)

well, that's what I wasn't sure, this is my very first korg :)

BTW USB cable din't come with the unit, kinda cheap from korg.
Roland and yamaha always included all cables especially if they include software.

I think they'll release the R3S pretty soon. Then the R4 :P

It really seems unlikely that Korg would put out a successor to the R3 until they actually release a bigger VA synthesizer. At the moment, they are releasing yet another microKorg. This time it's the XL+ which is still based on the Radias engine. Seeing how the first XL was released only a year after the R3, perhaps the R3 just didn't sell too well. I go out to local shows like twice a week and I've yet to see anyone in my city playing one. I still see a few microKorgs out there, but mostly everyone is using anything vintage.

I don't think so R3 is not selling well because it keeps the price strong after few years, even on ebay. Besides that baby really sounds good... 8)
