I don't believe that it is normal to have a consistent and significant difference in level between left and right outputs.

However, this being a stereo output, there will often be a small, temporary difference in level between left and right outputs.

I guess if you play only high notes on a stereo piano preset, you would expect the left channel to be measurably lower than the right channel.

Many of the sounds on the SV1 are mono (the electric pianos and organs) at least, before effects (which can add stereo). These sounds should be the same in both channels. And certainly, if you try the 1/4-inch outputs and aren't getting the same imbalance, there's something wrong with your XLR outs.

Hello! I've experienced the same problem. The 1/4'' outputs are ok. I wonder if it's a soft or a hardware issue. I would thank some help

I have the same problem. I'm wondering if it's a manufacturing defect, but since I don't often use the XLRs (I didn't notice the problem until the board was out of warranty), I've put off getting it fixed. I got my SV1 (88 key) pretty early on, and it had a bad USB port as well.

I've read somewhere this is from accidentally running phantom into that xlr. Damaging the circuit.

I just picked up a 2011 88 key, great shape other than having this exact issue as well. Sort of comforting to know that others are experiencing it on a certain level, but obviously I'd like to fix it too if there's an easy fix out there.

Any other updates lately as 2013 comes to a close?
