Hi!
Does anybody know if it's possible to move the license to a different computer? I just got a new mac for my studio, and according to the EULA the software can only be installed on one computer. Anyone?

I purchased the KLC to take travelling with me on a 3-6 month working holiday. It was an important part of my transportable studio.
Unfortunately I installed the software on a stand alone PC Workstation as a test before leaving.
Then descovered to my horror that you could only install the software once.
After about 6 months (when I finally flew home) the problem still was not fixed and I got no answers or help from Korg Australia or Japan.
In the end the music shop I purchased the KLC software purchased me a Dongle so I could use and install the software when ever I needed to update my laptop. The security dongle is a much better and cooler idea than only being able to install the software on one computer.
Good luck getting help from Korg with this.
I recommend getting a Dongle $50-150AS depending, if your like myself and don't want to be restricted to the one PC that could break, become to slow.
Failing getting a Dongle, you might be able to ghost an image of the hard drive and transfer it to another computer if your into that kind of thing.
I feel your pain. A most painful experience.

When I recently switched back to the C/R versions of the software, the license code email came with this additional information:
”If your License Code becomes invalid:
Your current License Code may become invalid if you alter your computer environment (upgrading the Operating System in your computer, etc.) or if you replace your computer with a new computer.
In this case, you will need to request a new Licence Code. Login at
http://www.korguser.net and click "RE-ISSUE Licence Code" to receive your new code.”
Hope this helps.

Hmm.. Just seen this in Korg’s FAQ: “(Please note that Korg cannot re-issue an Authorization Code.)” I don’t understand this, as I had to get a new one issued earlier this year. Is this a mistake, or have they changed their policy?! Hopefully the former...
Please tell us how you get on Rampus.

I just looked on their website and couldn't find that statement anywhere ... but I did see the similar statement "Please note that Korg cannot re-issue a
Product Code." Product codes are not the same thing as License codes ... the latter is what needs to change if your computer config changes (and there is still an active "Reissue" link for license codes on korguser.net), while the Product code should never change (so not issuing additional ones to users is pretty standard and entirely reasonable in my view).

It
is there.. It’s in the installation guide section (they don’t actually call it a FAQ, but it looks like a one to me.) Three boxes under the What is the “Product Code“? box.
But after looking at the FAQ more closely, I think I’m getting confused between License codes and Authorisation codes... So the authorisation code simply enables the original buyer to receive license codes (both original and re-authorised) and receive general support?
If that’s the case, then I guess you can ignore my last post anyway... Sorry about that!
