Need help with routing Kronos + KP3

I'd like to take timbres 2,3,4 and send them to outputs 1-2 on the Kronos. This would go into the line in on the KP3 and the KP3 line out would go to my mixer. Also it's important that L/R outputs don't have the sound of timbre 2,3,4. I'd like timbre 1 to go to L/R like normal.

I'm pretty close to figuring it out but if you know how to do it please explain your method.

The biggest issue I have right now is timbre 2,3,4 are coming out of L,R,1,2, instead of just 1,2.

Combi or Sequencer mode will be fine.

Thanks in advance!

Hi.
In seq, go to Ifx page, select routing. Choose your outputs for each timbre :D

Yes, this works. The only thing is though when you do it like this you lose the effects. Is there a way to do it without losing the effects routed to those timbres?

Set up the IFX's that you want to use in a chain. In the "insert FX" on the last IFX in the chain, tap on the "Bus sel" and choose the output you want to use.
This is the way that I do it, Hope it works for you :D

Ok thanks for the advice I'll try it out in a few hours.

Ok, I got that to work. It was bus select in the IFX tab. Found it in the manual on page 199. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

OK, but doing this I ran into another issue. I have timbre 1 and timbre 2 both going to IFX 3. I want timbre 1 to go to L/R and timbre 2 to go to 1/2. I think you can accomplish this by using the buses but I don't quite understand it yet.

For now I have enough free ifxs to just double the timbre somewhere else, but I'd like to understand this better and not use spare ifx's if possible.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You can't separate out a timbre after it has been summed into an FX. That's a normal principle of most effect processing systems.

You'd have to route your timbre 1 and timbre 2 through two different FX slots if you want to do different things with them after that processing, even if you're loading the same FX and settings twice..

Yeah that's what I ended up doing. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a different method I didn't think of. Thanks
