Man, now that I spent the time to look deeper at the pics- this looks like a great complimentary board for the SV-1. Not sure I like the color (but it does go with that golden 50 year color they are putting on their website intro and NAMM set). Wonder if they will do a reverse key special edition (in a different case color).

I am very excited about hearing this thing.

Is it me, or does this seem a little bare-bones compared to other equivalents. Two envelopes, fairly basic effects, a less useful sequencer and arpeggiator. They've gone the control per feature route but it looks sparse. Compare it to something like the keyboard version of the Supernova 2 and it looks a bit weak. Let's just hope it has a magic USP up its sleeve and that they don't ship it with those awful tubes the Electribes had (or at least make them easy to change). Interesting that you only see one tube through the window :s. But I'm no expert so feel free to tear into the above all willy nilly.

Knowing KORG, I bet it sounds amazing, but I have to admit I cannot warm to the name “King Korg”.

I don't think it fits the product.

Regards
Sharp.

Single tube just like their other implementations.
I can't even guess the price considering what a Krone starts at.

Comparing it to an R3, maybe it is sub 1k.
Impulse buy if that is the case.
The controls are really looking fine to me the more I look at it.

The price point should be set to compete with the roland gaia which is 699

I'm guessing korg will sell the unit for 899

Shame they didn't use the same valve cover from the SV1. I could see someone modding it.

Seems a strange choice of name if true - certainly am not liking it...

Can you imagine if there are issues with it or fails on stage at some point, someone is going to write 'fu' in front of the name!!
