External sequencer - Karma recording

Silly question I am sure, but I purchased the Kronos X two months ago and I have been unable to get it to record externally with a sequencer.
I can record what is being played in terms of notes but I actually want to record all the sequencer tracks which I can hear (drums, bass etc) onto an external sequencer so I can fiddle with them...
Any help would be most appreciated.
