How do i use the vocoder?

I've had my mk for a while but never used the vocoder. I don't get how to set it up for use. Do i need speakers?

It works best with speakers but will work with headphones as well. You can either use the included condenser mic or plug in a dynamic mic into audio in 1 and use that instead.
