Expression Pedal Hardwired to Amp Level?

I recently got a Korg XVP-10 Expression/Volume Pedal to go with my Korg RADIAS. It appears to be assigned to MIDI CC#11, and by assigning the MIDI1 to #11 (Global -> P04), I can use the expression pedal like a mod wheel by using MIDI1 to control various things via Virtual Patch.
There is a catch, however. In addition to controlling whichever parameters I specify, the pedal also invariably controls the amp level. I believe this is some form of MIDI "hardwiring," but I cannot figure out how to disable this. For example, the mod wheel is hardwired to VibratInt, which can be set to 0 under the Pitch tab. There does not seem to be any such option for expression pedal and amp level. On multitimbral patches with drum sets, the expression pedal controls amp level on everything but the drums.
I have browsed through the MIDI mapping (Global -> P07), but the amp level is mapped to CC#07, not #11, and changing this value to anything else or turning it off completely does nothing.
Has anyone dealt with this before, and does anyone have a solution?
