Midi Configuration

Post by rdey »

I'm having trouble!!! I have a Roland jv-90 keyboard and a korg t-3 keyboard that i'm playing for a live performance. I have both of these keyboards mid outs going into a midi solutions merger into a korg m3 module. In combination mode in the m3 I have a performance of 2 organ sounds on midi channel 1 and a horn section on midi channel 2. I have the roland set to midi channel 1 and the korg t3 set to midi chan. 2. When i play the roland i get the organ sound but when i play the t3 for the horn section i get nothing. Can anyone help me,please. Do i need to setup the keyboards midi transmit and how do i do this. Thks

Have moved this to the relevant section. Not sure why you posted it in the testing this forum section.

It depends whether you play your T3 in program or combi mode. Furthermore, with later T3 ROM versions (#26 and above, I believe) you have an option of Master/Multi in Global settings that allows you to play a single channel or all channels in combi mode.

So first let's find out which mode you're playing the T3 in - progam or combi?
