Possible to recreate Microkorg XL patches on Krome?

Post by Bileofwood »

I spent a fair bit of time creating patches on my Microkorg to suit the songs we were playing. I have managed to recreate the tones on my Krome 73, in most cases with better results, however I am having trouble with one particular patch.

Sadly this patch is the one which is used most predominantly.

I have tried copying the details on the Microkorg editor but sadly the terms appear to be too different (on the XL the wave sound seems to play a larger role, on the Krome it seems to be tone type - however I am the very definition of a n00b so I could be way off on that).

Is anybody able to offer any advice? I will post the XL editor screenshots below.

I would also be more than happy to share the patch with anyone, I assume it is straightforward to do that. It's a bit like an electric guitar, a bit like a boom of doom. The pitch wheel bends a full octave and the wah makes it shriek - I use it a lot for rock songs as it's also very responsive to velocity, it can give a low rumble which adds body to basic riffs, or you can hammer the keys to get a very Prodigy style sound.
