Vintage Sine Lead on Kronos
Im a former M50 user. Seems I can't find a Vintage sine lead preset on Kronos.
Current gear:
Kronos X 61

i'm looking for the same sounds, and believe me...
NO KRONOS PROGRAM PROVIDES IT..
You'll have to create it using HD-1 engine, using sine waves from Jup 8 or moog for a very vintage sound..
If i have time, i'll share it for you tomorrow..

Love my kronos 88
Love my yamaha psr s910 as well
Korg Kronos 88, Yamaha PSR s910, Korg C720, Yamaha DTX 520, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, a pair of Yamaha HS80 in (soon not to be) an unproperly treated room..

What's dissapointing about polysix, AL-1 and MS-20 on kronos is:SanderXpander wrote:With three VA engines and a better version of the M50s own engine, it shouldn't be too hard to make one? Any special properties it should have?
THEY HAVE NO SINE WAVEFORM

The only way is from either MOD-7 and HD-1... But i do recommend using HD-1, as from noob's point of view (i'm a noob), MOD-7 is hard to program..

Hope you can share your sine PCG here. That would be awesome.1jordyzzz wrote:i'm looking for the same sounds, and believe me...

A triangle consists of only a very few frequencies. They are all sinusodial (Fouriertransformation from time to frequency domain!). You can use the filter and keyboard traking to eliminate all but the lowest. With keytracking it´s possible to do that for all keys. If you modulate the pitch with LFO you get a nice legacy(=unstable) sine wave.1jordyzzz wrote:What's dissapointing about polysix, AL-1 and MS-20 on kronos is:SanderXpander wrote:With three VA engines and a better version of the M50s own engine, it shouldn't be too hard to make one? There are good books out there: "How to make a noise." for example.

Thanks!! Will try to find ebook of it.. I'm really interested in sound design.. But i have no clue what fourier transformation is..Saxifraga wrote:A triangle consists of only a very few frequencies. He gives away his "How to make a noise" ebook free from his website.1jordyzzz wrote:Thanks!! Will try to find ebook of it.. I'm really interested in sound design.. But i have no clue what fourier transformation is..Saxifraga wrote: There are good books out there: "How to make a noise." for example.

You can get kindle versions of his more specific books (FM, analog, etc) from Amazon.
It´s a mathematical theory in physics. It describes every time signal, like a sound, that is periodic, as an infinite sum of sine or cosine functions. Thanks!! Will try to find ebook of it.. I'm really interested in sound design.. But i have no clue what Fourier transformation is..
Our ear transforms this signal all the time into vibrations of the basilar membrane. What we hear is a spectrum of frequencies that changes with time.
So a triangle has not many sinus functions and a square wave has many.
Also because of this a single sinus is not very loud and a square wave has much more power in it because of all the sinus waves and their amplitudes adding up.
Hope I could be helpful.
