Hi everyone,
I have my R3 connected by usb cable to my laptop.
I understand that this is only midi, and no sounds will be transmitted, and the sounds that I hear will be only from the preset sounds from the Fl studio.
My question is, how do I get the exact (or similar) sounds that I hear from my Korg R3 into Fl studio if this is possible even?
I bought two 1/4" cables for the left and right audio outputs, which was then attached to a two-holed stereo adapter, that was plugged into my 1/8" mic jack on my laptop.
So far I have not gotten any luck.
Thank you everyone

Hi ph.billy
I suppose you have a win laptop. You first have to check if the mic jack of your laptop is also suitable for audio line-in, what commonly is the case on actual laptops. First of all you have to set your laptops soundcard to accept/playback what is comming thru these inputs. This is done by the mixer application for your soundcard which you will find in the windows audio device settings. Another way to get there is rightclicking the loudspeaker symbol in the windows task bar. Here you have to set that input to line in, adjust the volume and other settings until you can hear your R3 thru the laptops soundspeakers. Once you have set these you start your FL studio and here again you have to find the settings for the FL audio devices and tell it to use the soundcard line ins as input device.
I am short of time now (going to work) and I dont know much about FL, but I think you should get closer with this explanation.
