Just watched this video on Roland Connect site:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxR7Q53Z9hg

Seems like a new hi-end arranger with sliders. Wish they're back to their analog root.

Yes, we need more Organs, we don't have enough.

Just what is it that Roland is back to? From the looks of that little teaser video I would say they are back to ignoring the serious workstation market. I hope I'm wrong.

How can you even tell, im still trying to figure out what it is they are trying to sell. I guess I just wanted a better look at the board

I can't really tell. There is nothing really specific, I just don't see anything that stands out that would hint at it being a high end workstation. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong so until April I'll just keep reading the rumors along with everyone else.

Hopefully we will see some good competition for yamaha and korg. These friends of mine work best when under pressure. :)

I thought Korg was the leader of the pack, within the innovative and analogue gears arena :)

I agree, but I feel like competition is there to push each other to produce something innovative and different.

That's what I was thinking. And the "We are BACK" at the end of the video is referring to a backing keyboard and not that they are making a comeback to something.

Since some years they have made quite a habit of publishing big teasers and overproportional countdowns for small things to come.

I'm still waiting for the one year piano bench countdown in cinematic Hollywood thriller format: "The incredible will soon hit you unprepared. We're back to your back".
