Hello,
I'm still having problems with the following and wonder if anyone can help please.
If I choose a song from the Songbook and decide that I want to edit that song by changing the sounds, tempo etc, give it a new name and then save it to the songbook with the new name and sounds, when I then select Edit 1 and give the song a new name and then write it to the songbook, the name and style are saved ok but the new sounds I selected are not.
I seem to have tried every combination of saving on the Edit 1 page but nothing seems to work properly. Just don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Any help would be appreciated .

Thanks to "keysman" for the reply.
I have not been saving the new sounds to STS as I wasn't aware I had to !.
I thoughtt that having changed the settings and then saved then into the songbook using Edit 1 page, that the keyboard remembered the changes. Obviously not.
How do I save the changes to STS ?. Sorry if I sound a bit dim but I'm not exactly Bill Gates when it comes to Computers etc.
Another question- when in the songbook Edit 1 page, what is the difference between using the "new song" box as opposed to the "write" box. as it would seem logical to me that evrytime you write a song it becomes a"new song".

Hi Derek,

I see you are struggling with the songbook.
Keep on trying, because once you understand how it works, you don't want to work without it anymore.
Read my post in another thread (reply to your "tearing hairs out" post).

Answer to your question: the difference between "New song" and "write":
- "write" applies to the current settings with the current selected songbook entry and means "saving". If this is a new songbook entry, it's saving it for the first time. If it already existed, it means "resaving" with the (changed) settings;
- "new song" means you use the current settings (probably an existing songbook entry) to make a copy. You can change some of the settings and save under a different song name. This procedure works nice when you have similar songs (same style, same sts-s), but you want to have for instance a different tempo.
