i used to own a radias and am waiting for my new, used one, to come in. I cant recall if the firmware and OS version show during boot up or if you have to go into global to check. Can someone help me with this? also in case the radias i bought comes with altered programs and stuff, and i want to do a factory reset, do i just hold the global button while i turn it on for the factory reset? i saw that in another post and wanted to make sure i got it right.

To check your current OS version do the following:

Turn on the Power Switch of the RADIAS while holding the [MASTER FX ON], [Cursor(Up/Left)], and [Cursor(Down/Right)] keys. This will put it in “Update Mode”.
The following messages will appear in the display. (The version number of “SYS”, “USR”, and
“PCM” may different from these numbers):
RADIAS Verup Mode…
By USB-MIDI
SYS : Ver 1.02
USR : Ver 1.01
PCM : Ver 1.01

You can restore either all the preloaded data or individual patches from the Global pages (see Owners manual pg. 116 - pdf available on-line at Korg)

N.B. - (In case you didn't know) Organising Banks and patches is easy when using the Radias Editor (make sure you have the correct version of the editor for the OS you have in the Radias - Version 2 of the Editor uses the latest OS).

In the Downloads section of this forum there are several soundset files for the Radias (including the various factory soundsets for the MS2000 and Microkorg).

It's very easy to organise and load them into the Radias via the Editor and USB.

Yeah, it's definitely a good idea to check the OS on your Radias. I had one and then sold it. Bought another one and threw the patches on it. When I played the songs I had using it, there seemed to be something wrong with it.

The new on had OS 1.04 or something on it, my old one had version 2.0... So basically a lot of the patching I had done in the old one wasn't working in the new one (OS 1.04)...
