Joystick Up 1/2 Note on Everything - Need Full Note

Hi,

Woah... it's been a while since I've been here - lol.

For some reason I can't seem to get my Trinity to pitch-bend the full note, i.e. if I'm in C, want it to go to D, not C#. This happens with all Combi-Progs from what I can tell. So it must be a Global setting? When I try the "Calibrate Joystick" option in Global and bend left to right and hit "Done" it tells me "Can't calibrate."

Should I reload all Global settings? Afraid to do so for I don't want my Combi-Progs to go down the toilet but I do have backups of everything.

Help much appreciated.

LATER EDIT: I reloaded the Global and it changed things a bit on the SWI -SW2 but still doing 1/2 not pitch shift. May ultimately not be that critical but it still would be nice to know how to tweak this. :)

As far as I know, most programs/combis use a +/-2 bend range instead of the +/-1 you have.

So it might look like a calibration problem. However you also could check in a combi for the bend range for each timbre, you can set it per timbre in each combi, so afaik it is not a global parameter.

For programs, I'm not sure where to look, probably somewhere in the Pitch pages.

However, I would first check the calibration because the main problem may lie there.

Thanks for reply.

Truth is it's now kind a moot point. I hadn't pulled out my Korg in a long time and was feeling pretty rusty with everything and my mind thought something was off with the pitch. Until I started to do some improv over one of my tunes in Cubase. I just sounded weird all by itself, but in context of the chords and melody of the overall composition, I realize nuttin' was wrong. Sheeezus, the mind can play trick on you - lol.

Now that said, reloading a fresh Global settings backup and trying the calibration DID work this time. So must have been a small glitch.

i recommend when loading new pcg's that you only load banks not global. they mess me up everytime. usually the sustain is on positive. i use negative lol. but definnitely a whole note bend would be +/- 2 especially for the Jan Hammer signiture lick.

OK, thanks. Something to keep in mind.
