Wavedrum still outputs sound with all 'edit levels' at zero?

When I turn the 'edit' levels to zero on all four buttons, my Wavedrum still makes a sound from the outputs - like a muted hit, and it's actually quite loud.
I've been trying to set up a patch where just the pure sound of the Udu boom plays, but I can't seem to get rid of this muted hit..
Does this happen for anyone else?
ie In edit 1 mode, turn all four levels to 000 with master volume up

Thanks for confirming that and for the tip.
I guess the head has a mic underneath, enabling brush strokes etc..

Yes, I think that's what you're experiencing. The transducer (located beneath the Korg logo plate) is likely picking up the sound of anything that makes contact with the head. Not sure if there's any way around that.

That's fine though - as long as I know that's the way it's supposed to be.
Such a fascinating instrument

Just got a WD Global and loving it, enormous fun but I also have an issue with the amount of transducer/mic signal mixed in to the output. With some of the acoustic algorithms its great but likewise manages to completely ruin some of the more synthetic sounds and from what I've figured out its a fixed value in the algorithm. That is a shame when a simple mix pot could have made a world of difference here and as I've seen in other posts this means the WD is high risk on stage when it comes to controlling feedback.
Did anybody ever create a mod to address this? I'm presuming the WD synthesis is triggered directly by the transducer with the mic signal then parallel mixed into the output, that would at least present some options but I haven't taken the WD apart yet. Anyone happen to know what route the mic signal takes to the output?
