Krome memory question

Post by tcausey »

I'm in day 3 of owning this keyboard and starting to find my way around. I'm going to be using this for live performances. My question is when I load my midi files into the sequencer it will only let me load about 53 songs and says the memory is full. These are not large files, I only use bass tracks and drum tracks. Does this sound about right for the memory? Also is there any way of changing the tracks from the g banks? Any advice would really appreciated. Thanks

This is very possible. A lot of MIDI events can fit into a small file and the Krome has a limit of 210,000. If you look at the MIDI data I expect you would find a lot of CC messages.

Once you have the files loaded into the sequencer you can change the track to any bank and program you want. You can do that right on the SEQ P0: Play/REC page in the Bank/Program section.

Thanks Bald Eagle, let's me know where to start.
Synthoid, I usually don't play more than about 25-30 songs. I don't have a certain set list, just use different song depending on the crowd. I could store about 65-70 songs on a floppy disc, just thought this would have at least that much memory.

If you want to see the midi data for a song go to P6: Track Edit and then select the Event Edit menu command.

Another question if you don't mind. I've figured out how to change the sounds of a certain track, but when I try to save it to the sd card it does not save it with the new sound keeps the old sound when I reload it. How do I save a sequence with the new changes. Also how to I see how many measures are in a particular sequence. Hope this makes sense. Thanks

You should be able to find the number of measures by going to the Track Edit page and selecting Set Song Length from the menu. But this is the maximum length and not necessarily what has been recorded. You should look at the tracks to see if there is midi data.

I can't think of any reason why timbre changes are not saved. Maybe it's not really saving it or you are reloading an old copy. Try a test where you overdub something and see if that change is saved and reloaded.
