Spurious Lock Up on Kronos 73

I was rehearsing last Friday before my Saturday gig and lo and behold, the Kronos locked up completely on me.
I had played it for a about 20 minutes and when I returned all the lights were on but nothing responded.
I ended up doing a power down and luckily it came back.
I have a UPS on the power so I doubt it was power related.
It led me to take a spare keyboard to the gig - as we play for 2.5 hours I didn't want to risk it - again it was ok.
Treating this as a one off but I am now worried - one more and the Kronos os going on EBay.............

I would be less nervous had I not already had a power supply fail on me last year.............

Mine locked up at 2 shows before I relegated it to studio use only.

If something like that happens to me my kronos goes straight on ebay the same day....there are far better solutions than the Kronos for the studio....the Kronos is a stage beast, if it doesn't work for this is useless.

Why do you all whine so much? Peter Gabriel had no problem with his Kronoses. So be happy to have the worlds leading flagship workstation. If you think about it: You don´t need anything else. etc. .....

Sorry to hear you have problems.
What OS are you using? I assume the latest? If not, several problems have been fixed and you probably just should use the latest version always.
@Saxifraga: we don't whine so much ... Neither Peter Gabriel, me and many others have problems. So yes, I'm happy to have the worlds leading flagship workstation. And yes, I need other things as well: a second keyboard (only serving as slave), a MIDI pedal keyboard, a stand, lots of cables, an audience when gigging, a rehearsal room.
What I don't need is someone who uses every thread to write his frustrations over and over

Peter Gabriel can afford all the kronoses he wants, here there is people that put so much effort to buy it to have a professional board.
If there are issues with it I perfectly understand their frustrations, although I don't have any issues neither (had in the past with the keybed).

+1, Saxifraga bought a Kronos, had hell with it and in my opinion has every right to comment on his experience.
What I don't need is every time Saxifraga makes a comment, someone else has a go at him for doing so.

My plain Kronos 61 has been gigged around 300 times in the last year in smoky bars, the hot deserts and beaches of the Middle East, being shipped on cargo planes back and forth to the UK and I'm so happy that I'm obviously just lucky(!)
It must have sand in it by now and it survived a whole day in stupid heat last month. I'm not afraid to turn it on and don't expect it to fail.
I'm careful but not overly gentle with it, I expect it to work and it does.
Not one glitch I can recall. I agree that the build quality isn't as good as the Triton Extreme, but the end caps seem better, at least

I would like softer fader caps and knobs, but hey!?
Sorry to hear these horror stories

My action is the best synth action I've used.

No further problem so far.
I'm on OS 2.0.2 so no doubt could update a little.
The Peter Gabriel argument isn't a good one.
He probably has 6 Kronos stuck in a box for such an eventuality.
I don't have enough room in my Jeep to carry a spare, let alone buy another Kronos.
I'm not knocking it, but this is incident 2 where incident 1 was a dead PSU.
I will keep a close eye out to see if it happens again - lets hope not!

Sorry but it was just pure sarcasm. Eventually, sometime maybe I will get over it.

Will now enjoy my inferior M3 XP with it´s superior piano roll editor.
(Thx Ojustaboo for understanding my frustration.)
