Ipolysix Crashes when uploading to Soundcloud or backing up

Post by Drambuee »

Hi All,

Can anyone help with upload problems in ipolysix ?

It Crashes when uploading to Soundcloud or backing up to iCloud

I'm using on iPad 2 with iOS 6, uploads to Soundcloud were working for a while but the app started to exit last week.

Steps to reproduce this are:

1. Load a song

2. Click upload and share

3. Ipolysix shows "rendering" in the progress wheel

4. Then shows "converting"

5. After "converting" the app exits back to the home screen

I'm unable to backup songs and sounds etc to iCloud because the app exits without uploading the backup

Grateful for any help to fix the upload and backup problems

Many Thanks

Fixed the sound cloud uploads by deleting the app and reinstalling

Was concerned I'd lose sounds and songs but I used iFile to move the Documents folder inside .iPolysix.d folder away from the app to another location.

Deleted the app and moved the .ipolysix.d folder back

Seems like this was enough to backup and restore all the songs and sounds

I posted this in case anyone else wants to know how to manually backup their data before deleting / reinstalling the app

I still have the iCloud backup crashes but that may be due to the size of the .ipolysix.d folder (1gb)

IFile shows that iPolysix is creating a 45mb backup file with .ips file extension before it crashes. Not sure whether the .ips file is the actual backup or an index file. I'll try copying .ipolysix.d folder elsewhere and deleting all songs I've downloaded then run a backup which should create a smaller backup file
