DNC Control info missing in PA600 Manuals
Just noticed that the DNC Controls info for the PA600's 19 DNC sounds are missing from the PA600 manual. Fortunately you can find the information in the PA900 User Manual on page 331. The PA900 has 75 DNC sounds, so you can print out the pages and cross out the sounds not found in the PA600
FYI: DNC sounds can have 7 controls on the PA600 the same as the PA900. Assign switch 1 & 2
Joystick -Y & +Y
Legato In Range & Out of Range
and Damper

As far as I can see, all the DNC controls are the same as those on the PA900 and PA3X so we should be able to replicate some of the 'missing' DNC sounds on the PA600 with a little judicious programming. If I had a PA900 it would be a simple task to look at DNC sounds on it and then replicate them on the PA600. All DNC does is control the 16 layers in a sound program. You can do some really interesting stuff with custom DNC programming. One trick I want to try is to create some 'second touch' sounds on the PA600. You could have 2nd and 3rd touch using the #1&2 Assignable switches. Or a 2nd touch controlled by the damper pedal. Could be fun!KJandKT wrote:Thoraldus,
Do you know if there might perhaps be any way to purchase the DNC sounds on the PA900 for the PA600 since the 600 has sampling memory?
Thanks and God bless!
Before anyone climbs all over me saying using DNC controls is not the same as second touch, I'm well aware of that.

dear Thoraldus
The basic reason of missing DNC sounds of Pa3X in Pa600/900 is because of the missing Rom multisamples there !
For instance , you can't have there the same DNC sax since legato up/down waveforms are missing from Pa600 factory library.
Same happens with DNC violin and many other Pa3X DNC sounds and DKs !
In order to exactly recreate these sounds in Pa600 , you have to re-sample Pa3X/Pa900 non existing Rom
multisamples and use Pa600 user's PCM memory !

I was speaking about the missing documentation in the PA600 User Manual, not missing sounds..AntonySharmman wrote:dear Thoraldus

My second post tried to infer there is a possibility to add NEW DNC sounds to the PA600. Replicating all the PA900 DNC sounds of course is not possible.

I certainly know that
, it was just a general purpose input for missing DNC sounds of Pa3X library, mainly FYI.
