How to export a set?

Post by songbird »

Hello,
Does any one know how to export a favorite bank or a style set from PA600?
I know we can load a set. But how do we make it at the first place?
please advise.
regards

backing up saves the whole thing, and as far as I understood, it only allow you to do a full restore.
if we have a backup file, is there a way to load just one set from that to a particular bank?

DISCLAIMER - I don't own a PA600 but this is how you do it on the PA3X:-

If you only wish to save a single bank or indeed a single PERFORMANCE or SOUND

Example to save a single PERFORMANCE
  • Go into MEDIA mode,
    Select the Save tab
    Highlight "ALL"
    Press "Open"
    select PERFORMANCE
    Press "Open"
    Select the bank
    Press "Open"
    Select the PERFORMANCE
Now you can save just that PERFORMANCE in a new SET

Apply same principle to saving STYLEs and SOUNDs
Example to save a FAVORITES BANK
  • Go into MEDIA mode,
    Select the Save tab
    Highlight "ALL"
    Press "Open"
    select STYLE
    Press "Open"
    Select the FAVORITES BANK
Now you can save just that FAVORITES BANK in a new SET
Hope this is what you were trying to do.

Cheers

I confirm that it's working fine on PA600.
You can even save the factory styles and pads the same way. You just need to disable the styles and pads protection (Global/Mode preferences/Media/Factory style and pad protect) before going to the Media / Save tab and selecting the Bank0x.sty or .pad

One strange thing is that you can't do that with the factory sounds as far as I know. Need to copy them to the user banks before saving.

Thanks everyone.
I think the key to the solution is to unlock the styles.
Once you unlock it, you can export all styles, favorites , user sounds and pads
As many people said in the thread, did not find a way to export factory sounds.
Once again thanks
