How to configure MIDI setup with Sound editor on Windows 7

Post by luke7263 »

Hi all,

Well, I did not use Sound Editor for 2 years, at that time it was working fine, since that time I have reinstalled my Windows 7 Pro many times. So now I have just installed the last DrvTools 1.14.r8, everything look ok:

- In my Windows devices I can see KORG PANDORA PX5D and PANDORA PX5D well installed
- When I start Configure Korg USB-MIDI driver, I can see the PANDORA PX5D in the device list, with MIDI Port IN:1/OUT:1
- With Audacity, I can record, so that means the PX5D is well recognized by Windows 7

But when I start Sound Editor and want to configure MIDI Setup, I cannot see any new MIDI IN Port neither MIDI OUT Port. For MIDI IN, I only have None, and for MIDI OUT, I have None-Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth-MIDI Mapper.

Did I miss something ? I'm sure I did everything correctly, I've tested the installation on different USB ports to be sure it was not an USB problem (reinstalling everything each time I changed port, this is necessary), I already spent hours on Internet, many people has that problem ..

One last information: when I direct play the PX5D, I cannot hear anything on my Windows 7 and/or Audacity, however Audacity can record it !!! I can hear my records after .. That's crazy ..

So if anyone can give me some new informations ...

Thanks to all in advance.
