I am having the same problem

Post by primorudy »

Right now I have the microKorg plugged into my windows 7 computer with a midisport UNO. I am able to hear the midi sounds correctly with my headphones on, but when it goes through protools and out my computer speakers, it just sounds like a regular computer instead of all the effects that I am hearing in my pro tools.

Do I have it correctly that the microKorg is just acting as a midi & therefor pro tools is only recording the notes? How do I get pro tools to actually record the sounds that I am hearing in my headphones when I am messing with my microKorg?

What cords am I missing and how would I set it up in the I/O and/or other peripherals?

I also have a focusrite and am wondering if my better option is to try to hook the microKorg into this and then that into protools? Both the focus right and the microKorg are using USB plugs to hook into the computer.

You need to hook up the audio output from your Korg to your DAW and set up pro tools to record audio

Take a look here http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=50987 to see what you need. This applies for mostly all actual keyboards
