Hi,
i recently got the electribes ,used, for a good price.Yesterday i started playing around with Esx,got the editor and tried loading wav. samples onto it.I downloaded a big collection of samples that imported to Audacity exported as .wav and then to sm card.
My questions are:
a)the samples originally were about 130mb but the .wav i got from Audacity was less than 1mb!Is this normal?

b)When i tried loading the samples i got a memory full error so i started deleting samples that i don't like but i stopped ,after freeing some memory, and thought posting here in case i'm doing something wrong.

c)My sm card is 128mb ,that means i can load as many samples i want and have them accesible on the esx ?I think it can only load within the limits of internal memory but i'm not sure.

d)If i delete everything on esx and load my samples, is there somewhere i can find the original .esx file with the factory patterns/samples just in case ?And do i really need to do this ?

Can somebody enlighten me with the proper way to load samples and see them the way the factory samples are being seen?

Thanks a lot!

First of all, the basic function for media card use is to 'save' & 'load'. Anything you want to keep, save it before trying to load new esx files.

I strongly recommend that you spend some time with the user manual. it's a solid foundation for any piece of gear & it's where i started when i first bought my esx1.

Other than that, the answers to your questions can be found on this forum. You're not the first to ask. 8)

Nearly forgot to say too.... The electribe editor is a whole other independent product & not a korg thing. I have tried it but i didn't like & never use it.
