Blue Screen on my Triton Studio! Show next week!!!!!!

Post by bigfootjim159 »

I just got my Triton Studio back from the shop from having the Damper Jack re-soldered. When I got it home and turned it on all I got was a blue screen. I could hear the hard drive trying to do something but it stays on the blue screen with no audio output. The tech said he turned it on and went through some programs when he was done and it worked fine. (I know him well and trust that he is not bullshitting me). We are both anxiously awaiting for Korg Tech. Dept. to get back to the office on Tuesday but I need this board for a show I have next week and it's a show stopper if I don't! If anyone has any ideas please let me know. The tech has the board now but I want to have all the info I can get ASAP. Tried to re-initialize it. No luck. Thanks,
Jim

I suppose it would be too much to hope that you just screwed up the display contrast to where it appears all blue?

The Tech took it apart a few more times to take some voltage readings and it just started working. We're thinking possible a corroded or bad ribbon connection that finally made contact. I bought a Triton Rack off of Ebay as a back up just in case. Thanks for the response!
