Uploading M1 presets from PC

Hi, I know this is probably way below most of your discussions, but I just got an M1 with the dreaded battery issue. I changed but it turns out the card reader is shot so I can't reload from my ROM card. So I have to figure out how to do it from my Windows 7 PC. I have downloaded MIDI OX, but need to know how to connect my M1 to the PC. Is it a simple cable? A MIDI on one end to USB on the other? Or do you need a hub? What else do you have to do? Will MIDI OX serve as the software connector? Will the M1 and Windows 7 see each other?
Any help or input would be HUGELY appreciated! Thanks.

Download and unzip to your PC desktop the M1 factory sounds from KORG's website
http://www.korg.com/SupportPage.aspx?productid=632
You need a PC MIDI interface such as M-Audio's USB Midiport 2x2 Annicersary Edition which has 2 sets of MIDI INs and OUTs split into groups A and B .
Connect the
MIDI OUT of the M1 into
MIDI IN A on the Midisport and the
MIDI OUT of the M1 into
MIDI IN A on the Midisport.
In the
GLOBAL menu of the M1 navigate to the
MIDI FILTERING page and make sure
EXCL is set to
ENA. On the
PROGRAM, COMBI and SEQ PROGRAM MEMORY PROTECT pages make sure
INTERNAL is set to
OFF.
Launch
MIDIOX. Under the
Options Menu select
MIDI Devices and for this purpose
only enable the
MIDI IN and OUT of the ports that your M1 is using. Click
OK to exit.
Under the
Actions menu mouse down to
SEND and choose
SysEx File. Navigate to the folder on the desktop where your unzipped the file on your PC desktop and double click on it.
MIDI OX should do the rest.
It worked for me at least. Good luck!

Thanks! Sadly, my "up" button isn't working, so I can't toggle the enable/disable or turn off the internal... ARRRGH...
