The advantages of a 2 minute boot time

I got my Triton Studio down last night and plugged it in. Hit the power button........ and then, thinking it was like my Kronos

1. Had a quick snog with my wife.

2. Put the kettle on and made a cup of tea.

3. Made a small plate of ritz crackers with cheese and pickle.

Only to realise that the Triton boots up in 5 seconds. How boring is that.

The Kronos has enhanced my life no end. I love that 2 minute boot up. :D

I hope snog doesn't mean what I think it means....

To be fair, Triton Studio isn't even 1/8th of a Kronos in samples and sound power. My old Triton Extreme w/MOSS took close to 2 minutes too. I have an old N5 that I keep around for quick ideas just because it boots in seconds.

'Song' maybe . Got my n and o the wrong way round. I'll keep you guessing.

Just my positive light hearted spin on the boot time.

:oops: Me too. It is too fast for that, isn't it - 2 min together with a cup-of-tea and crackers? What a shame....

If so somebody call Guinness ....lol

You might be thinking of another four-letter word that begins with s and ends with g.

Here is a very useful site for explaining the darker corners of British English for non-native speakers. Probably more slang than you could ever use!

My god, your lucky I don't use all the Irish slang on the forum if you never heard of a Snog before.

Since I use the Kronos with a DAW, the boot time doesn't really matter....By the time I power up the Kronos, the G5,the MB Pro, the Yamaha speakers, the 96i, the mbox pro and my brand new Muse Research Qu4ttro!!!!...Well, you get the idea....That being said, the Kronos is usually the first powered on and the last to fully boot (only by a few seconds).....I really don't mind though because the sound you get in return is worth it....moon

You wouldn't have to go too far in in the City to find people talking like this.

Sure now your sucking diesel boyo. Me lack was locked the other night. Sure she was banjaxed. I was bolloxed myself. I ended up shifting some slapper who was locked. Some dose. The entire night went arse ways. Sure to top it off, some boyo came up to me when I was out side the chipper pouting s**t. I shut his trap though. He was acting the maggot. It's gas boy.

My Lack = My Girlfriend
Locked = Drunk
Acting the maggot = Acting the fool.
Arse Ways = Complete mess.
Dose = Sick
Banjaxed – Broken
Bogey = Snot
Bolloxed = Very Drunk
Boyo = A young person.
Yonks = A long time.
Wrecked = Tired
Shut your Trap = Shut your Mouth
Spuds = Potatoes
He's Sound = He's a nice person.
Slapper = Slut
Snapper = Baby
I'm going to a slash = I'm going for a pi$$.
Manky = Dirty
Lashing = Raining.
I made a hames if it = I made a mess of it.
Gas = Funny
Feck Off = Go away.
Sucking Diesel = Going good.

I'm italian but living in Dublin since few years now (almost 6 actually) but I still miss some slang expressions used here.
Going to put this on my iphone for immediate usage :D
