Update Error!

It's been a long time since I updated my Kronos ;-)

I unzipped everything to the Kronos 2.1.0 folder then copied everything to the Root folder of the USB drive. I keep getting an update error. Ive downloaded the files twice. Do I need to unzip the .tar.gz file?
Do I need to have a folder called Kronos_Update_2_1_0 ?

Thanks

IS your USB drive formatted to Fat 32? That is required

Took me a couple of tries too. I finally restarted the Kronos started the update - put the drive in when it asked (not before like I had) and all went well. Make sure you don't have any other USB devices attached too.

Glad to here you got it sorted.
Did you do the other update? The Subsystem one as well as the OS 2.1 update.

Similar Problem

I also get the system error message. I've tried restarting the system. And the USB drive is properly formatted. I've never had this problem before when updating.

I've done my best to follow the directions precisely.

What's somewhat confusing is when I unzip the Kronos update tar file I get the mnt folder which contains numerous subfolders. From the instructions, I've inferred that it's necessary to take the subfolders within mnt and place them at the root level. I've done that.

And I assume the directions are the ones that come in the update folder, buried amongst the other manuals. Are there additional instructions for 2.1 that I've missed?

I'm sure I'm missing something incredibly simple. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Leave the "tar" file alone it will get uncompressed in the update.
Reboot the kronos then run the os update
Should be 9 files on root of usb drive (10 if you didn't remove the manual)
Good luck!!
